Foster + Partners Announce Groundbreaking Towers in Business Bay, Dubai
Foster + Partners reveals designs for two new residential towers, Vela and Vela Viento, in Dubai's Business Bay, developed by Omniyat.
The designs follow the architectural style of The Lana, another Omniyat project by Foster + Partners, enhancing the waterfront's aesthetic continuity.
These ultra-luxury towers offer waterfront living with direct promenade and marina access.
Vela rises to 150m, offering 272,860 sq. ft. across 30 floors and 38 residences, including expansive penthouses and 3 to 4-bedroom homes.
Vela’s unique features include double-height living spaces, large private terraces, and L-shaped corner pools.
Two central penthouses in Vela offer 360-degree city views, double-height spaces, private pools, and bay windows for sunset views.
A Sky Palace, a three-level luxury residence with a triple-height terrace and private lift access, tops Vela.
Vela Viento stands at 180m with 41 floors, offering views of Marasi Bay, Burj Khalifa, and Downtown Dubai, with residences ranging from 2,000 to 9,730 sq. ft.
Unique to Vela Viento are three bridge apartments, two double-height penthouses with terraces and pools, and amenities including a landscaped terrace and indoor-outdoor pool.
The projects are part of a trio, including The Lana, that share design elements like horizontal rhythm and voids in massing, contributing to Dubai’s skyline transformation.
Foster + Partners, the renowned British architectural firm, has unveiled the designs for two groundbreaking residential towers, Vela and Vela Viento, in Dubai's prestigious Marasi Bay. These towers, being developed by Omniyat, are set to redefine luxury waterfront living in Dubai, mirroring the architectural essence of The Lana, Dorchester Collection, Dubai, and also a Foster + Partners and Omniyat collaboration.
Vela, reaching a height of 150 meters, will offer 272,860 square feet of living space across 30 floors. It will house 38 ultra-luxury residences, including three to four bedrooms and expansive penthouses. These homes are designed with double-height living areas, large private terraces, and unique L-shaped corner pools, embodying the pinnacle of luxury and architectural innovation.
Adding to its allure, Vela will feature two central penthouses that connect the tower's north and south sides, offering panoramic 360-degree views of the city. These penthouses are meticulously designed with double-height spaces and private pools, maximizing the enjoyment of Dubai's iconic sunsets through their expansive bay windows.
The crown jewel of Vela is the Sky Palace, a lavish residence spanning three levels. It boasts a triple-height private terrace offering unmatched city views, a private lift lobby, and a grand arrival gallery, setting a new standard for luxury living in Marasi Bay.
Standing 180 meters high and with 41 floors, Vela Viento presents unparalleled views of Marasi Bay, the Burj Khalifa, and Downtown Dubai. Its 92 residences include unique bridge apartments and are topped by two majestic double-height penthouses, each with a sprawling terrace and private pool.
