Try this brand-new park at Dubai Hills

Looking for somewhere different to drag the kiddos to on a family outing this weekend?

Cargo nets, monkey bars and a rope swing set to challenge the kids has opened at Dubai Hills that might mean you have to do less 'dragging' and more 'trying to catch up'.

With a splash park, skate park and even an ice rink, The Dubai Hills Park has something to keep the whole gang entertained for hours on end.

Best of all, you don't have to live at Dubai Hills Estate to be able to visit the park.

Tickets can be bought on-site and cost Dhs85 for non-residents and Dhs55 for residents for a day pass allowing entry to all of the attractions.

Alternatively, you can pay per attraction.

There's something pretty magical about donning your skates and gliding across a frozen pond, and kiddos with a keen sense of balance can recreate that at the park's new site rink.

The ice rink costs Dhs35 for non-residents and Dhs25 for residents.

There is also a splash park, which is sheltered from the sun courtesy of a sail shade, that is perfect for tiny tots who can brave the little slides and cool down in the water.

Just watch out for the big bucket that dumps water onto unsuspecting kiddos underneath at regular intervals. You have been warned.

Residents under 13 will pay Dhs20 for the splash park, while non-residents of the same age will pay Dhs30. Adult residents cost Dhs40 and adult non-residents will pay Dhs25.

Little ones got a need for speed? A skate park is now open for mini adrenaline junkies and keen boarders of all ages.

Prices for the skate park are Dhs30 for non-residents and Dhs20 for residents.
