Everything to know about the world's tallest wheel Ain Dubai

Another record-breaking structure is coming to Dubai – the world’s largest observation wheel, known as Ain Dubai.

As many will know, Ain Dubai has been in the works for quite a while, with construction beginning in May 2015.

Now, six years on, the world record-breaking structure is set to open in the fourth quarter of 2021, which was confirmed by the Dubai Media Office.

“BIG NEWS! Ain Dubai is loaded & almost ready to roll,” a post on the Dubai Media Office Twitter read. “The time is coming to see Dubai from new heights!”

The prestigious project, which is a part of Dubai Holding’s entertainment portfolio, will consist of 48 high-tech cabins offering 360-degree views of Dubai’s impressive skyline.

Located on Bluewaters Island, this enclosed capsule reaches an astonishing height of up to 820 feet, making it the largest observation wheel in the world with three cabins including Observation, Social and Private cabins for different purposes depending on the occasion.

Having a capacity for around 1,750 people, visitors will have an opportunity to witness glistening views of Dubai’s skyline in a cabin that best suits your needs. The observation cabin offers a chance to witness the Arabian sunset from 250m high with Instagrammable views unlike ever before in an indoor air-conditioned environment.

If you’re looking for a VIP experience, the social cabin gives guests a chance to experience premium treatment with beverages to toast while soaking in the ambience at Ain Dubai’s Seaview Lounge and a premium setting in an atmospheric environment.

For something more intimate, the private cabins, offer a bespoke setting to cater to any sort of event – birthdays, engagements, weddings or and more – with an unforgettable experience including private dining options above the sky.

All precautionary measures must be carefully observed onboard including face masks which should be worn throughout the experience inside the cabin, along with a reduced capacity of seven guests per cabin or ten from the same group due to COVID-19.

It will be open daily from 12pm to 10pm with each rotation of the wheel lasting for about 38 minutes each.
