Dubai has approved the 'Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033' to establish Dubai as a global leader in quality of life and enhance its status as the world's preferred destination.
The strategy encompasses over 200 projects, initiatives, and plans across 10 key pillars related to well-being like culture, environment, mobility, society, economy, education, safety, and health.
It targets individuals, society, and the city level, aiming to provide a unique urban experience centered on human needs.
Key goals include fostering individual well-being, enhancing social cohesion, celebrating cultural diversity, offering diverse entertainment options, and developing an eco-friendly pedestrian city.
Over 19 government entities and private organizations collaborated on the integrated plan.
The private sector will actively implement 100+ projects that will contribute to community wellbeing.
It encompasses three phases from 2024 to 2033 focused on the individual, society, and city.
Plans include developing 'wellbeing districts', implementing the '20-minute city' concept, constructing over 115 km of walking/cycling tracks, and developing 30+ new innovative parks.
