Dubai is one of the world’s friendliest cities, says Rough Guides
Survey finds the city is known for politeness and friendly behaviour.
Dubai has been named one of the friendliest cities in the world, according to Rough Guides. Glasgow topped the list and Dubai ranked eighth on the list.
This is the second time Glasgow won the accolade, as it was also number one in 2014. Dubai was the only city in the Middle East to make the list. Fifteen cities were selected and other destinations include Dublin, Montreal, Liverpool, Tokyo, Vancouver and Copenhagen.
The survey was carried out by the British travel site, Rough Guides, which invited social media followers to take part in the poll. Despite people not being able to travel, Dubai has maintained its reputation as a welcoming destination. Readers voted for the friendliest city and Dubai was described as a place where “everyone is polite and friendly.”
