Dubai Expo 2020 begins 1-year countdown (again)
Dubai Expo 2020 has just begun its second one-year countdown.
Organisers say they want to spread a message of hope, amid the adversity that has come from the covid-19 global pandemic.
It is exactly one year to go until the Expo starts, and there’s going to be a tad more focus (just a tad) on ideas revolving around health, connectivity and travel.
It is thought that Expo 2020 could be a bright spark for the 192 countries that are participating in the Dubai expo.
Dubai Expo 2020 will now happen from October 1 to March 31. The show will attract visitors from all around the world keen to see the best that international businesses, institutions and governments have in store.
Themes this year include energy, smart cities, global challenges, sustainability, agriculture and now health. It will be the first Expo in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.
According to Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Co-operation and the director general of Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau, it will be more than worth the wait.
“Our World Expo has a mission to inspire hope, and in the coming weeks we will begin to share new details and ideas about space, health and wellness, travel and connectivity and other subjects that sit at the heart of this Expo,” he said.
