Coders from across the world can now apply for UAE golden visas
The UAE has officially launched the National Program for Coders which will offer 100,000 Golden Visas to eligible UAE residents and foreign nationals from all countries of the world.
Candidates eligible for this Golden Visa application category should be professional experts who have gained success in various areas of coding, employees working for international technological firms, or graduates of software engineering, computer science, hardware engineering or other coding-related fields of science.
The National Program for Coders is also aiming to help establish 1,000 new digital companies in the UAE over the next five years.
Eligible applicants may apply via the Office of Artificial Intelligence or through the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship.
Coding experts from across the world can now apply for UAE golden visas as part of the National Program for Coders.
The initiative is available to both residents and non-residents of the UAE, to attract the best-qualified coders and graduates specialised in the field of coding.
The eligibility extends to Experts and talents who achieved success in various areas of coding; those who work for pioneering international technological firms; and graduates of software engineering, computer sciences, hardware engineering, information technology, artificial intelligence, data science, big data, and electrical engineering.
Coders of all nationalities and age groups can apply for the UAE golden visa through The Office of Artificial Intelligence in the UAE government or the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, the report said.
The National Program for Coders will support golden visa holders with opportunities to work on integrated coding projects.
Providing the move aims to “attract the top international skill sets and talents in the field of coding and provide excellent services and support systems that promote work and innovation in the UAE to facilitate the nationwide establishment of new startups and enterprises specialised in coding.
The National Program for Coders aims to support the development of the digital economy in the country.
It will seek to train and attracting 100,000 coders, establish 1,000 digital companies within five years and increase investment in startups from Dhs1.5bn to Dhs4bn.
The programme has also tied up with top global tech firms including Google, Microsoft and Facebook, among others.
