Dubai population at 3.356 m in 2019

The overall population of Dubai increased by 5.15 per cent to stand at 3.356 million by the end of 2019, up from 3.192m in 2018.

According to official figures released by Dubai Statistics Centre, males account for 2.332m, making up 69.5pc of the population, while females stood at 1.024m (30.5pc).

According to the statistics, the number of females exceeded one million in the third quarter of 2019 for the first time in Dubai.

During peak hours, the overall population in Dubai soars to 4.5m – including citizens, expatriates and visitors who live in the emirate on a temporary basis, for work or tourism in most cases.

The population of Dubai increased 261 times in 137 years, to exceed 3m in 2018, Emarat Alyoum reported.
